SETTING UP E-MAIL WITH OUTLOOK 98

After opening Microsoft Outlook 98, select "Accounts" from the "Tools" menu.

Once you have verified that you are on the "Mail" tab, click "Add" and select "Mail".

Type in your full name as you would like it to appear in the "Display name:" field. When you are done, click "Next."

Type in your full e-mail address ( ex: jim@jimscarwash.com ) in the "E-mail address:" field and then click the "Next" button.

Select "POP3" for your server type (unless you have been instructed otherwise), and then enter the following:

Select "Log on using: POP account name / Password." Then, in the "POP account name:" field, enter your e-mail address ( ex: jim@jimscarwash.com ), and in the "Password" field, your e-mail password. When you are done, click "Next."

After completing step six, type in the name that you'd like Outlook to refer to the account by. After typing a name, click the "Next" button.

Here you will need to choose what type of internet connection you use. If you are using a dial-up connection, select "Connect using my phone line." If you are using a highspeed connection, select "Connect using my local area network (LAN)". When you are done, click "Next."

You are now finished creating your account. To save your settings, click the "Finish" button.
